For many years now I have harboured the notion that someone should publish a book that shows monuments that have been set up to honour some of our early settlers, explorers and various events of the past.
Many of these are located in places of significance for the people and events memorialised, so showing these monuments with pictures of their location seems like a logical thing to do.
Rather than just let the idea sit out there and nothing happen about it, I have taken the first steps to achieve this dream and stopped at a couple of monuments and taken some photos, so these should start to appear in future blog posts, and maybe even combined in a book later.
